Understanding Article Marketing
Basically, article marketing is a way to get backlinks and traffic from other websites, and tap into search engine traffic with high page rank article directory. If you already heard of Bum Marketing, that is a method using Ezinearticles, Hubpages and Squidoo (or any Google favors Web 2.0 Sites) to piggy back on search engine (mainly Google) traffic!
Backlinks from other websites
When someone pick up your article and post them in their website, they will give you a link back to your site, not only the page rank being pass to you, also the visitors and traffic! To be effective with this method, you need to build a list of publisher. Certainly you can just post it to article directories and wait for them to be pick up, but this will be very slow…
You don’t have to build the list immediately, but you can discover them after some time, (when they pick up your article on the article directory!) you can add them to your broadcast list and send them your latest article whenever available.
The key to attract them and also your reader is your article title! You must learn how to write compeling header, this is not hard, just take a look at the article directory (especially in Ezinearticles.com), you will find all kind of attractive header!

Normally, any long tail keywords with result less than 5000 in exact match will almost guaranteed to rank page 1!
