Let me re-phraze, article still works very well! If you are not making any money from your article, you are not doing things right! See the common mistakes that most of the new article marketers do:

1. Write few articles and expect tons of visitors comming in! Yes, you can do that, if you mastered BUM marketing! For starter, please at least write 50 to 100 keyword targeted articles before expecting some miracle to happen. Do get frustrated very fast, write more and more articles before giving up!
2. Write for readers only mindset. I agree you shouldn’t ignore readers, and they are your prospect and customers, but don’t just write for them, write for Google! Get Google to help you send your message out, optimize your article to some of the targeted keywords.
3. Create multiple version of articles using spinning software. There are many articles spinning software around, but you must know what you are doing. When using spinning software, you want your articles to generate many back links, but you don’t expect it to tap into the search engine. This kind of distribution will not give you fast result, but your articles will get distributed over time. Please remember to distribute your spinned article slowly to each directory, at most submit to 10 directories per day, send it out continuously for the rest of the directories.
4. Does not create good landing pages. You must put yourself in the shoes of your readers, if they read your article and then expect to continue version 2, but you send them to your pages that does not continue the speech, what do you expect the visitor do? Bounced of course!
5. You write crappy article. Your article should be as easy as talking to sixth grade students, and you should implement the Attention, Interest, Desire and Attention (AIDA) formula to get your readers click through!
6. You are in the wrong niche! If you do the above and still don’t get result, you are in the wrong niche! Please do competitors research, niche research again, I bet your can’t find much, because this niche don’t sells!

If you can bookmark this page or print it out, use the check list above to do your article marketing, I guarantee you will have some success! Well, many people I know did have good results, just don’t give up easily, try at least 50 articles on each niche.

Don’t worry about the niche won’t work, and you wasted 50 articles; At least you learn many things from 50 articles! They will make you do research better, write articles better and most important – This is the first step to your success, if you don’t start here, you never reach your destiny.
