Many affiliate marketers make 5 figures every month, but they are having some hard time to break-through into 6 figures income, they try harder and harder but never have the “luck” to cross this big wall! There are 3 things they are missing, let me know if I am wrong:

1. They do everything themselves! – We all have 24 hours, no more no less, and the only way to be productive is either leveraging other’s people time (outsource) or increase our own productivity!
2. Their business is not repeating! – Membership sites and subscription based software is getting popular due to residual income from the same customer, and we can accumulate our effort to make more money! Every time a new member join, we are adding additional residual income to our existing income, not just “replace” last month sales!
3. They don’t build list! – How many times did the Gurus told us “The money is in the list”? We still choose to ignore the simple steps and just build a thin and simple affiliate site? No matter what market we are in, always try to build a list!

The importance of list building:

1. Follow up sales with your visitors – Whenever your visitors arrive at your web site, they have less than 7 seconds to decide whether they want to stay, and the conversion will be extremely low without the follow up mechanism.
2. Build relationship – I forgot how many times I buy a product just because it was recommended by Jason Potash, Brad Callen, Ewen Chia, Alvin Phang… I still stay on their list because they occasionally provide good information and products to me! We need email to build relationship with our visitors and customers!
3. Repeat sales – You can continue to sell again and again to the same customers. As time pass, your list will continue to grow everyday even your traffic stay at the same! You should build lists from day 1 of your site go live!

If you are making 3 figures monthly, building a list will make you 4 figures a month! Same applies to others, and if you already building list, what you need to do is scale up your business, re-invest your income to outsource the jobs or employ full time staff to help you scale your business!

Change your business model to membership, continue to provide good value to your customer and build residual income!
