If you are in the Internet business, eventually you will need this tool or somehting similiar to protect your commission and interest! And you wouldn’t want to show an affiliate link to your visitor just like telling everyone you are not here to help but to rip money out of them! (Let’s face it, visitor know we are trying to make money online, but what they know is not how they feel!)
Most of the merchant is using cookie to keep track referal customer, but who knows if they need the link ID?
Just a quick introduction to affiliate link if someone still new here! For example my web site : http://www.ultimate-iwealth.com/products/affiliate-link-cloaker/ is actually a redirect link created by Affiliate Link Cloaker to Jim Edward’s Affiliate Link Cloaker web site, but you don’t see my affiliate ID! 
You can try to load the page and view the source code http://www.ultimate-iwealth.com/products/affiliate-link-cloaker/, the link is encoded, unless you know how to decode it…!
The original id might look like this: http://www.somesite.com/?refid=kokchoon (Don’t bother to click, just an example link). Surely more experience affiliate marketer will use JavaScript, HTML or PHP script to redirect the original link, but the link is still visible in the browser and the source code page!
