Search-marketing

Search Engine Marketing is one of the biggest Internet marketing strategy that widely used by many affiliate marketers! There are many “black hat” and “grey hat” skills that does not contribute any value or content to the search engine and search user.

What is “White Hat” SEO?

White Hat SEO is SEO strategies or methods that not just to rank high in the search engine, but also provide great added value to the search engine and giving the search engine user better experience. Search Engine marketing shift from pure on page optimization to more emphasize back links and finally to user experience oriented.

How do Google and other search engine track user experience? From my understanding, many Gurus starts to emphasize how “sticky” your website, what is the bounce rate of your site from search engine visitors? I think we can be sure Google will continue to “reward” the good content site with more visitors…in the long run.

Components of “Good Content” SEO Site.

There are 5 major components in SEO for any website, you need to plan properly when you first start your website, and if you do it properly, you can rank well even with low page rank and just a bit back links, the key is how relevant is your back links and how good is your content.

SEO Component #1 – Proper website structure. You website must be categorize with theme keywords, use the keyword research technique in previous post to find all related theme keywords, group them together and form a logical group. All your content will be hosted  in this group and link back to its’ own category, and use the internal linking structure to push the category ranking and build a proper link profile throughout the whole website.

SEO Component #2 – Use nofollow to control page rank flows. For each page on your website to rank well, you need some minimum rank juice. The more links on a single page, the less link juice each link pass to the destination page. Overhead pages such as privacy policy and contact us page or any linked pages that do not need page rank or indexing should set its’ link to rel=”nofollow” to prevent lost of page rank through that link, this will give other pages more link juice and ensure Google index and rank it well on the search engine.

SEO Component #3 – Use keywords in each page. To rank well for a particular keyword, you should put your keyword in the:

Title
Subtitle
H1 tags
First paragraph
Middle paragraph
Last paragraph

SEO Component #4 – Create back links with link bait. You should research your market and create a Top 10 list or any kind of list, the more the better, submit them to the social bookmarking site, if your content is good, you will receive many links from other websites.

SEO Component #5 – Join blog network to get massive traffic. There are some paid blog networks that allows you to create back links with articles, you can easily create a lot of quality back links to your website with articles. The links in the content tend to give more authority power for your website, they are proven to be effective!

Key components to massive traffic and conversion.

Key Component #1 – Create more pages. You must have many related keywords for your targeted market to generate massive traffic to your website, and you need to create pages for each of the few keywords. If you have a list of 10,000 keywords, and each of your web page will target 3 keywords, you must create at lease 3,000 pages on your website and do proper back links to it!

The more pages your site has, the easier for it to rank for the main keywords and attract massive back links to its’ website and finally push its’ ranking into Authority status (PR 4 and above). These are an incremental process, the more links and pages you have, the more authority you became and the more keywords you are going to rank well, and finally driving massive traffic to your site!

Key Component #2 – Build the momentum. SEO is a bit different than other Internet marketing methods, it requires you to build up the momentum at start, and you won’t see much traffic in the first 3 weeks, but if you continue to do things correctly, you will see your traffic start to jump to the roof after 3 weeks!

Conclusion

Search Engine Optimization is the perfect marketing method for products and services oriented website, but not very effective for blogs. I found that blog traffic from the search engine does not stick long, unless you optimize your blog post to a particular problem search term that concern the searchers.

Great coverage on SEO but I hate to disagree on this, “Search Engine Optimization is the perfect marketing method for products and services oriented website, but not very effective for blogs.

In fact, the opposite is true. As blog is updated frequently, it’s much easier to get the search engines love than a static site. In any case, everything else is well-written.

    Thanks!

    I think you misunderstood me..

You should always add a blog in any static site for fresh content and updates!

I can easily build SEO SILO site with static page than blog, but I will always want to add a blog to my static site even if the blog content is auto updated feeds.

Pro Blogger like John Chow, Darren Rowse will receive many search traffic, but in comparison to their regular traffic from community, I think is around 30%.

Recently John Chow was taken over by John Cow in Google because of something done wrongly and Google decided to filter him out…!

But John still received a lot of traffic, I think much more before Google kick his ass…!

That’s why Pro blogger write for human, not search engine.

    BTW, I’m in Malaysia…hot country!

It is nice that you pointed out all the places that keywords should show up. One would not normally think that certain words should be repeated through all those parts, but it makes sense that they should be spread out, yet still quite ubiquitous in an article that represents something about them. White Hat methods sure do have a more positive connotation with a majority of individuals.

White hat vs black hat, the main difference are:

    White hat…
    1. Add value to search engine
    2. Just optimize towards easier ranking, not manipulating the result aggressively.
    3. Long term ranking

    Black hat…
    1. Decrease value to search engine
    2. Aggressively spam the search engine to get result fast
    3. short term ranking

Anyway you can do your business, some like short term, some like long term. My personal opinion, don’t go against search engine, go along with them and you save lot’s of time in long run!
